DynWebLink? What is that?
|
If you run a server (WWW-server, FTP-server, etc.) on a Computer with a changing IP address,
you need to know the current address to reach the server.
DynWebLink is a free service that provides a webpage with dynamic links to your server. The links
are changing whenever your IP address changes and the server remains reachable.

Advantages over dynamic DNS
|
-
With a dynamic DNS, everybody can track your connection and may easily find you on the net.
With DynWebLink you have a password protected private page. You decide whom to invite and
you can change the password, whenever you want to withdraw your permission.
-
Faster change of the address
DynWebLink recognizes a change of the IP-address within no more than 30 seconds.
-
With DynWebLink you see the connection state of the server before you connect to it.
You do not need to wait for the timeout to find out if the server is online.
Not every homeserver runs 24/7.
-
The Windows version of the client program has an additional feature, the
Reconnect Warning.
Never again get disconnected in the middle of a game!
